It all started with a baseball game,

Our first date was at an IU baseball game, which is honestly pretty funny considering neither of us is particularly into sports. But somehow, that random first date became the beginning of something neither of us could have imagined.

As we got to know each other, we slowly stopped trying to be anything other than ourselves. One of our favorite early memories came from the first time we were completely unapologetically us. Ryan was standing in an office chair, squatting down while eating pizza, and I couldn't stop laughing. It was ridiculous, completely unplanned, and somehow, in that moment, I knew he was the one.

I fell in love with Ryan because he brought out a side of me that I had kept hidden for so long. With him, I could be silly, opinionated, loud, goofy, and completely myself without ever feeling like I was being childish or too much. He made me feel safe enough to let that side of me out, and he loved me for it.

Then, in the most Ryan fashion possible, came the proposal.

There was no elaborate setup, no grand spectacle, and no audience. We were simply laying together watching a movie when Ryan looked at me and asked, “Do you want to marry me?” At first, I didn't think he was serious. Then he asked me again.

And that was it.

It wasn't big or flashy. It was quiet, unexpected, and completely us.

Over the past four years, we've grown together, changed together, laughed together, and built a life that is uniquely ours. And now, we're getting ready to take the next step, not just as two people in love, but as husband and wife.

We can't wait to see where life's greatest adventures take us next.
